Liesel Hamilton

Liesel Hamilton is the author of three books: dovetailing, a memoir in essays and winner of the 2026 Sarabande Prize in the Essay judged by Aimee Nezhukumatathil (Sarabande Books, June 2028), Beyond the Turn Around, a collection of lyric nature essays (University Press of Florida, April 2027), and Wild South Carolina (Hub City Press, 2016).

You can also find her work in Audubon, Bellevue Literary Review, Catapult, and The Normal School, among other publications. Her MFA is from George Mason University, her PhD is from Florida State University, and she is an Assistant Instructional Professor for the University of Florida.
